As a working actor since 1981, Rod has performed major roles in Shakespeare, comedies, musicals, new Australian drama, kids' shows, pantos, poetry, mainstage and fringe theatre, TV, radio, cabaret and advertising . (see gallery)


As director, he has recently created full-blooded adaptations of Shakespeare for youth performers, with successful productions of Romeo & Juliet, Richard 111,

A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, Macbeth,

As You Like It, The Winter’s Tale.


Since 2012, he has adapted and directed Shakespeare’s Richard III and Macbeth,  played all the adult males in Spring Awakening the stage musical and a variety of roles in The Elephant Man and Blackrock plus teaching acting skills at Newcastle University and Young Peoples’ Theatre.


In feature films, he recently evaded the mafia in

McLean’s Money and was devoured by zombies in Slaughterhouse Bride. (see link & showreel)
